Cozy, Pls. is a mobile coffee and matcha cart based in Des Moines, built on family, resilience, and a lifelong love for coffee.

Coffee has always been a part of our family culture. Growing up, it was more than just a drink — it was something that brought people together. Morning conversations, late-night talks, and time spent with loved ones often happened over a cup of coffee.

The idea for Cozy, Pls. became even more meaningful when Demir’s sister was diagnosed with cancer. During treatment, she had to step away from coffee, which had always been something the family enjoyed together. That moment inspired the creation of matcha offerings as part of the menu — a way to still share a warm, comforting drink together while supporting her health journey.

Cozy, Pls. also carries a special piece of family craftsmanship. The cart itself was built by Demir’s dad, turning the vision into something real with his own hands. What started as a simple idea quickly became a family project and a shared dream.

Today, Cozy, Pls. brings handcrafted coffee, specialty matcha, and cozy experiences to events, pop-ups, and gatherings around the city. Every drink served carries the heart of the story behind it — family, perseverance, and the belief that something as simple as a cup of coffee (or matcha) can bring people together.
